This is the map for Aion 2 on the global servers, North America, Europe, South America and Asia on Steam and PURPLE. If you start on October 5, this page tells you what happens when, what is different from the Korean version you saw on YouTube, and which of the 24 guides to read next. Every guide in the series is written for the global build.
Aion 2 global launch: dates you need
The Test is 12 hours total over two days. The servers go offline in between. Nothing you do there carries to early access, use it to learn the map and practice dodging on story bosses, not to compare damage numbers.
Founder's Packs: what early access costs
Three packs sell the same five days of early access from September 30: Standard at $24.99, Deluxe at $49.99 and Ultimate at $99.99, one per account. Every tier carries the same 30-day Special Quai Membership, and everything the two dearer tiers add on top is cosmetic and grants no combat stats. No pack is needed to play, the game is free from October 5.
Read: Founder's Pack Guide: Prices, Contents, Early Access, the full contents of each tier, what the membership changes, the refund policy and where creators land on whether to buy.
What the Launch Scale Test is, and isn't
| What the Test has | Time |
|---|---|
| Two six-hour sessions, September 17-18 | 6 hours per day |
| Level cap 37 | Until wipe |
| 14 daily-dungeon entries across the dungeons available in the Test | Per account |
| Shugo Festival minigames, played for fun | Hourly |
| Titles from a quest line, permanent stats for owning them | Unlockable |
| Download window September 16 | Before the first session |
| What the Test does not have | Until 45 |
|---|---|
| PvP and rifts | Disabled |
| Abyss zones | Locked |
| Battlegrounds | Locked |
| Ascension Trial | Grayed out |
| Nightmare dungeons | Locked |
The Test shows the town layout, the story boss dodge timing and the title system. It does not show your power at 45.
Global vs Korea: what launches differently
Several things you see in Korean videos work differently on the global build. The table is not a balance opinion, it is NCSoft's global changes for Season 1.
| System | Korea (in footage) | Global Season 1 at launch |
|---|---|---|
| Dungeon party | 4 players | 5 players |
| Sanctuary raid | 8 players | 10 players (Sanctuary Ludra) |
| Heroic gear | Drops | Not in launch |
| Conquest hard mode | Exists | Not at launch, expected weeks after release once average Combat Power catches up |
| Wings | Stat wings | Cosmetic-only |
| Pet insight cap | 5 | 3 |
| Membership price | Multiple subscriptions, roughly $40-50 a month | $15 membership, needed to use the market |
| Kinah split | No bound/unbound split in the footage | Exploration Kinah bound, Conquest Kinah unbound |
Two other global facts matter for planning:
- Later-season Korean content, Chapter 1 dungeons, Sanctuary 4, Ordeals, Upper and Middle Reshanta, is not in global Season 1 and this series mentions it only as future content.
- The Korean July 2026 rework for Daevanion, some costs and some node effects changed on Korean live. This series marks every claim from that rework as Korea-only until you see the same tooltip in the live global client. Where the rework matters, the guide you are reading says so, see Daevanion Guide and Skills, Stigmas and Macros.
Where a guide says “in the Korean version,” trust the global number on live if the two disagree.
Which class to main, the 8 at launch
Eight classes are playable at launch. A ninth class, Brawler, has been live in Korea and Taiwan since July 2026 and is not confirmed for the global launch lineup. Every class is locked to its weapon and alts are expensive, so the pick follows you.
The full comparison sorts every class by weapon, role and playstyle and shows where creators agree and where they disagree. Two patterns hold across every English tier list in this series: Templar as the only true tank and Cleric as the only resurrector are the least contested, while the middle DPS, Assassin, Ranger, Spiritmaster, shifts based on whether the tier weights PvE, PvP or solo.
Read: Class Tier List: Best Class to Main at Launch, table of all eight, 3-way melee and ranged comparisons, support head-to-head, creator ranking table and a playstyle picker.
Once you have picked, every class has its own guide covering early skills, Stigmas, Daevanion routes, macro setup and how it plays in PvE and PvP: Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric and Chanter.
The new player checklist, in order
If you want one ordered list instead of sixteen guides, the checklist is the sequenced version: the account you make before launch day, the settings worth fixing in the first session, the side content that keeps you from arriving at 45 underweight, the 1,000 gear score gate, and the databases and tools worth bookmarking.
Read: New Player Checklist: Day One to Level 45, with the gear score trap that catches players who rush the story.
Leveling 1 to 45: the fastest route
The main story is the fastest experience, focused on yellow Main Story Quest to 45, doable in a day or two, longer if you clear side content along the way. Side content scales with your level, Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and feathers at the Monolith give Daevanion points and skill points you need anyway. The guide gives the per-level route, the two worthwhile side loops and the scroll set that makes story bosses forgiving.
Read: Leveling Guide: Level 1 to 45 Fast, timing, side-content steps, the gear-to-+5 rule, the first three Exploration dungeons and the level 37 Test cap.
After 45: the road to 2400 and beyond
Once the arrow disappears, item level and Combat Power gate everything. This guide maps the staged push: the main story alone lands you around 1,000-1,200 Combat Power, side content and the amulet and belt taps carry you toward 1,700, Vakron Sky Island and other Conquest expeditions open from about 1,600-1,800, and Transcendence dungeons and Fire Temple push you past 2,200 and beyond, and where each gear slot actually comes from at global launch without Heroic.
Read: After Level 45: Gear Progression to 2400 and Beyond, threshold table, slot map, enhancement and soulbind order and what to skip.
Dungeons: expeditions, energy and party size
Six Season 1 expeditions, ranked by stars on the menu. The guide lists the recommended order, the higher global item-level gates, Exploration versus Conquest (bound vs unbound Kinah and harder patterns), Odyle Energy costs and the reward cube, one-boss versus three-boss runs and pity, and the 5-player adaptation of the Korean 4-player groggy math.
Read: Dungeons Guide: Expeditions, Conquest and Odyle Energy, the full ladder and the economy around it. Boss-by-boss guides for Fire Temple, Ferocious Horn Den and Krao and Draupnir sit under it.
Daily and weekly: what to clear every day
Two clocks, 5 AM daily and Wednesday weekly, and a per-character versus server-wide split that decides who runs what. Duty Missions rerolled toward the front slots, Supply Requests, Bio-Research Base versus Odylium Repository sharing 14 weekly entries, Nightmare, Ascension Trial and the hourly Shugo Festival.
Read: Daily and Weekly Checklist, reset table, per-character column and the priority order when you are short on time.
Fire Temple, Ferocious Horn Den, Krao and Draupnir
These three pages sit under the dungeon overview and cover room-by-room mechanics rather than the system. Fire Temple is coolant and Obelisk to the final wall phase. Ferocious Horn Den is orbs and the totem room to the black-hole toss. Krao and Draupnir are the two 1-stars that teach the Conquest language at the lowest stakes.

Transcendence and Arcana
Four transcendence levels with a party debuff that scales with level, two dungeons, Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis, boss by boss, and the Arcana card sets that give the power. The global change that rare Arcana can already drop at level 1 on global is the farm fact that makes the first week of level 1 clears count.

Daevanion boards: where to put early points
Boards as grids of nodes, Ariel and Azphel tracks, Season 1 unlocks, crystal sources (side quests, sealed dungeons, shops, Nightmare and Ascension Trial), corners-first route and leftover priorities, and the July 2026 Korean rework framed as Korean. Uses questlog.gg and aion2t.com planners.
Read: Daevanion Guide: Boards, Points and Priorities
Skills, stigmas and macros
No auto-combat, reticle or cursor with hard lock, chains on one key, dodge i-frames and animation lock. Skill leveling with wisdom shards to 10 and 12/16 through Daevanion, Stigma boards, and what belongs in a macro (buff chain) versus what stays manual (dodge, interrupt, groggy).
Read: Skills, Stigmas and Macros Guide
How to make Kinah without wasting it
Every source with Korean-measured amounts flagged as Korean, bound versus unbound, field daily cap, market and membership habits, and why alts that run Conquest pay unbound while field does not double.
Crafting and gathering: what to craft first
Five professions, Essence Extraction gathering with Common and Specialty trees and Substance Morphing, the Novice 50 wall and the rank-up quest, success and proc bars, the proc ladder to draconic gear, Dragon Lord cores for guaranteed crafts, transfer crafting that keeps enhancement, and the market window.
Read: Crafting and Gathering Guide
Alts: how many, what they share
Why an alt matters for unbound Kinah, how many to make, server-wide versus per character (Duty Missions, the two weekly solo dungeons and Shugo Festival rewards are server-wide, while Odyle Energy, Nightmare and Ascension Trial are per character), Odyle Energy stockpiling on the alt before 1600+, and where more alts stop paying.

PvP and the Abyss at launch
Lower Reshanta only, rifts, time limits, Abyss Points and caps, arenas, battlegrounds and artifact sieges, and why PvE gear comes first. Optional PvP on global and what flagging changes.
Hub-only: collections, Pantheon, titles, Sanctuary Ludra
These subjects have no child article. They live here because every player needs them and no single query owns them.
| Collection | What it does | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Pets and pet insight | 3-insight cap on global. Souls from Odylium Repository | See Daevanion guide for insight board |
| Pantheon | Paintings and statues for character stats | Field bosses, dungeon cubes, market |
| Titles | Permanent stats for owning them | Earned via quests and achievements, best farmed during the Scale Test |
| Closet | Skins, account-wide collection | Events and shops |
| Wings | Cosmetic on global, character-based progression | Crafted from feather downs dropped by dungeons |
| Sanctuary Ludra | 10-player raid on global (8 on Korea) | Endgame after the expedition loop, access, rewards and why this is hub-only |
Ludra is the only Sanctuary at Season 1 on global. Later sanctuaries are Korean future content. The same Odyle Energy and entry limits that pace expeditions pace Sanctuary, so do not plan a Sanctuary week before your first Conquest loop is groggy-clean.
