Aion 2 Alts Guide: How Many to Make and What They Share

Whether to make alts in Aion 2 on global: what is server-wide vs per character, how many creators recommend, and what to run on alts for unbound Kinah.

Alts in Aion 2 are not cosmetic, they are a second set of entries that pays unbound Kinah. This guide explains why you make one, how many you actually need, and what is shared across your account versus what must be repeated on every character. Back to the Beginner Guide.

Why raise an alt in Aion 2

One character hits caps fast: Odyle Energy and daily field Kinah. An alt has its own energy, its own field cap and its own dungeon cube entries. Running Conquest on an alt when the main is out of energy or out of cube entries is the reason alts exist.

There is one economic reason creators keep coming back to:

  • Unbound Kinah. Conquest pays unbound Kinah, the kind that moves to another character. Exploration pays bound. An alt that can clear Conquest at 1600+ can already farm Draupnir Cave profitably, where Unique pieces still drop after the Kinah itself caps. Korean creators show this on their own alts partway through the climb: one at 1,765 Combat Power already running Conquest Draupnir, and one still at 1,100 working through Fire Temple toward that threshold.

If you have no alt, you wait. If you have one alt, you swap.

How many alts should you actually make

How many alts at launch?

  • Zero, if you only have a little playtime most days. The main's own dailies and 14 weekly solo dungeon entries are enough and you avoid the alt gearing tax.
  • One, the sweet spot for most players. One geared alt doubles the Conquest unbound income and gives you a second field-Kinah cap without doubling the daily checklist.
  • Two to three, if you play often and you already clear the main's Conquest rotation cleanly. Korean alt guides that recommend more do so only after the first alt is Conquest-ready, not before.
  • More than three, no. The 14 weekly solo dungeon entries are shared across your whole roster and stop scaling, and a fourth alt's own per-character Odyle Energy and field cap go unused for lack of time to play it. The fourth alt adds entries you will not fill.

Start with one. Finish its Conquest loop before you make a second. A second alt that cannot clear Conquest is a daily you skip, not an income.

What's shared across your account and what resets on every character

System Scope What it means for alts
Two solo dungeons (Bio-Research / Odylium) Server-wide, 14 per week roster-wide Shared across both dungeons and all characters, plan who uses them
Odyle Energy Per character Buying 7 per week with Kinah or vendor is per character, so an alt can buy its own energy
Odyle Energy shop and Substance Morphing Per character Energy sources are per character, which is why stockpiling on the alt pays
Field Kinah daily cap Per character Each character has its own daily field-Kinah cap, so an alt earns field Kinah the main's cap already blocked
Nightmare (2 entries/day), Ascension Trial (3 runs/week) and Shugo Festival (keys stack to 14) Per character Must be repeated on every character you take seriously
Collections (Pantheon, titles, pets, closet) Account-wide Stat bonuses from paintings, statues and titles apply to all characters

The last row is the long-term payoff: an alt does not split your account progression. Paintings placed in the Pantheon and titles earned from dungeon and field-boss achievements buff the whole account.

What to run on alts: Conquest content for unbound Kinah

steps

  1. Gear the alt to Conquest-ready before you farm. Around 1600 Combat Power is the floor Korean alt guides use for the profitable Draupnir Cave Conquest loop. Below that, the alt is a cost.
  2. Run Conquest, not Exploration, on the alt. Conquest pays unbound Kinah, Exploration pays bound that stays on the alt.
  3. Start with Draupnir Cave Conquest. Unique pieces still drop after the Kinah itself shows as capped, which is why alt guides keep farming it past the point the Kinah stops.
  4. Stockpile Odyle Energy on the alt even at a short-term loss. Creators explicitly recommend buying the capped energy on an alt before it can use it profitably, because ordinary play naturally carries the alt to the profitable 1600+ band and the stocked energy is then immediate income.
  5. When the main's field cap is hit, swap to the alt's Conquest. When the alt's energy is low, swap back. The two characters trade time, not Kinah, the unbound Kinah moves to the main on its own.

An alt that cannot yet clear Conquest should stay on Exploration dailies and the solo weekly loop. It is not ready to be a farm.

Leveling and gearing an alt cheaply

steps

  1. Rush the yellow main story. Leveling an alt is the same six-hour story route to 45 that you did on the main. Sealed dungeons and strongholds are character-specific, so the alt does not need them cleared to function as a farm, it is a farm, not a second main.
  2. Gear through cheap tiers first. Sealed Dungeons, early Conquest and the Conquest Draupnir guaranteed drop are cheap. Do not transfer expensive crafted pieces to the alt, the alt's job is to send unbound Kinah to the main, not to wear it.
  3. Share what is account-wide. Title stats and Pantheon paintings already buff the alt; wings are cosmetic on global, and can be gifted to the alt once the main already has one. Picking the same title path on the alt that you started on the main saves a second title grind.
  4. Keep the alt's daily short. An alt Conquest loop and its per-character Nightmare entries are enough. Adding the full daily board to every alt doubles the day without doubling the unbound Kinah.

A geared alt costs less than a second main because you skip the collections and the cosmetic chase. Keep it functional.

The limits that make more alts pointless

Alt FAQ

FAQ

Should I make an alt on day one?

Level the main to 45 first. Make the first alt after you have a clean Conquest loop on the main and understand the Odyle and cube caps.

How many alts should I make at global launch?

One for most players, two if you play often and the first alt already clears Conquest cleanly. More than three adds entries you will not have time to fill, since each alt's Odyle Energy and field cap are its own.

What is shared and what is per character?

The two weekly solo dungeons are server-wide, shared across your whole roster. Odyle Energy, its shop purchases, Nightmare, Ascension Trial and Shugo keys are per character. Collections are account-wide.

Can an alt really make unbound Kinah for my main?

Yes. Conquest pays unbound Kinah that moves to another character. Stockpiling Odyle Energy on the alt before it hits 1600+ so it can farm Draupnir Cave Conquest profitably is the pattern Korean guides demonstrate.
